I'm the founder and Executive Director of Earthlands. At Greenfield Community College, MA, I established and formerly directed the nationally recognized Outdoor Leadership Program and instructed in the Department of Human Ecology. I now am a consultant to numerous schools, colleges, and community agencies and also provide workshops and addresses at regional and national conferences. I have an extensive background in international travel, work, and study. My publications include The 24-Hour Experience: An Outdoor Adventure Program, The Outdoor Leadership Competency, and a new volume of Earth poetry, Return to the Meadow: Poetry, Prose, and Images of Place.

Patrick Draper and Nika Fotopulos-Voeikoff
We came on as apprentices in May and are loving our life here. We come from Canada, Patrick from Toronto and Nika from Montreal. Both graduates of McGill University, we have a passion for exploring sustainable living and how we can create change in the world. We are hosting the WildRoots Summer Youth Program and are excited to engage those looking to deepen their ecological knowledge.

Chunkles and Grandma
We were saved from conventional sheep life by our friend Larry Buell. We now spend our days grazing on the luscious green grass of Earthlands. We especially enjoy it when guests visit and speak to us in their cute little voices.

The Land
Where would we be without all the plant, animal, and stone people that make up this beautiful container. The trees, newts, wild turkeys, ferns, rivers, stars and wind to name but a few of the spirits that share our life. The sacred landscape is a constant reminder of our own inner wildness and humanity and helps us to learn how to live with more awareness.
